A Simple Petition

Well, Guardians. It has often come to my attention that the use of Hand Cannons as a whole are becoming "the obvious choice" to use while in PvP games. Now this wouldn't bother usually but it's the fact that Bungie themselves said "there should be an evenly spread out usage of all guns. Not an obvious one that it sticks out." Well, there is the problem right there. Hand Cannons are flooding PvP in a consuming manor and it is not a good one. Sure they are meant to be stong but a certaing 2 in particular are the obvious stick-outs. 2 headshots is all it takes and you can hide but the ever enraging burn will kill you no matter where you go. And then 3 shots, or the occasional 2 can kill you with the other. This does not seem at all fair considering what happened to the beloved Auto Rifles pre Dark Below since they were just being used at a great mass as they were reliable and often favoured because of the fact that they were automatic. Where as hand cannons are being used because they are what some call 'OP' which these days I am inclined to agree with. I mean, in Trials of Osiris and the Iron Banner there is a clear stick out of Thorn and The Last Word being used which Bungie states: "Exotics should look and feel exotic, but there should not be a clear choice to any one gun." Well why is it that Thorn is the most used gun leading the most used gun class of them all? The solution? I am proposing a small 'debuff' to hand cannons damage, not a huge amount, just a little more than a damned 2 hits and you dead. Or... Have Thorn's Damage over Time perk not be able to actually kill the Gaurdian and stop taking damage if you've killed the Gaurdian wielding the gun. This would seem fair as it is a reasonably unfair advantage on the opposing end of Thorn. What do you think Guardians? Comment your thoughts and opinions below.
