Some people who could actually develop a good argument against nerfing it don't respond because everyone gangs up on it. First off, do we not learn from our mistakes? We saw a shit ton of nerf Vex and nerf SUROS and it got us to where we are today. So you think we would learn that nerfing a gun isn't the best solution? Nope, we want to nerf any and every gun that seems a little too easy to get a kill. Sure, Thorn's DOT is cheap, but I can tell you that the DOT gets me maybe 3/20 kills. The rest is precision shots and body shots combined. I don't trust the DOT. Why shouldn't we buff other weapon classes for a wider variety? If we nerf Thorn (which will nerf all hand cannons subsequently) not only will a new best gun emerge, but we will see "Bring back my Thorn!" Posts all over the forums. You also ruin it for people that play PvE, where hand cannons are extremely good for taking out enemies. It's dumb that we can't ever learn from our mistakes and see that nerfing guns has never and will never get us anywhere. There are SUPPOSED to be a "best" gun in PvP games. Notice that in this game it's actually a lot harder to obtain than in games like Call of Duty where you hit a certain level or rank or whatever it's called in that game and it just falls into your lap.

Thorn isn't as op as everyone thinks, as you still need to be skilled at shooting to make it effective, I have gone against many ppl with the thorn and taken them out with the vex or red death simply because they can't land their shots. The ppl who are good with thorn would be good with most other hand cannon, scout rifles and pulse rifles due to their skill level not the torn being op. Leave the thorn where it is and I will keep knocking them down.

Ban all exotics from PvP

I don't really get it. I used to crush with thorn last year. That was my jam. Now I can't use it. I feel it so easily gets outclassed by better weapons now, especially last word. I literally have trouble getting two kills a game when it used to be fifteen. Now it's all about pulse rifles. Anyone else feel this way?

If you can't counter thorn you do suck. Personally I use thorn and I ALWAYS get killed my MIDNA Multi tool.

Thorns overpowered and should be nerfed I've been with plenty of great pvp teams but go against a team of full thorns and we just get destroyed

Personally I agree that the thorn is overpowered I disagree that it should be nerfed if it does it looses its place as an exotic. Remember people exotics are overpowered for a reason.

i own thorn solo'd its bounty and went through hell to get it.. twice BUT.. to people that use its exotic status as an excuse for it being extremely op in pvp. i don't give a damn how rare/hard to get something is it shouldn't be able to dominate pvp. there must be balance. it can be op where being op is ok. in pve. make it great in pve as a staple of its exotic status and make it average in pvp because pvp shouldn't be full of guns that can overpower all others it needs balance.

How can people defend this thing? Have you guys ever played trials? Do you inspect the other teams? 3 thorns 3 thorns 3 thorns 2 thorns and a red dea... Oh wait no he switched. 80 percent of ppl use thorns, not a coincidence, that's not balanced. But I suppose the bounty to get it isn't exactly simple. So I stopped complaining got a thorn and shot back.

Have never seen any 2 players use the exact same weapon the exact same way. Ever.

This can be fixed 2 ways, buff auto damage, nerf hc ranger to below scout. Done

I think thorn Needs a nerf not until it's useless but until at least until the majority of players can counter it with another weapon but not always win the fight
