Holy crap, I am a fairly active player, but I got tired of attempting to farm keys after my first 3 hour session at Skywatch in which I got no keys. Now I might do a handfull while I am doing patrol missions.
I wondered how often people are seeing them drop, but from your statement, it is pretty rare. Lets face it, we don't play the game to run around Skywatch (or any chest area for that matter) for hours on end.

Interesting. I didn't know they dropped that much before the HoW dropped. I was mostly a solo player at the time (now I have a good clan) and I didn't discover you could do the chests more than once until the day HoW dropped, so I only did the 4 bounties (or was it 6...dont remember) originally, so 4 chests in that first week only and the first 2 I didn't find the chest. I do love those keys though. The one and only key did get to use I ended up getting an Icebreaker, which was good since I didn't have it. So Bungie hooked me good. I want those damn keys, but at what cost? I am a busy dad (shout out to my Dads of Destiny clan mates) so I am limited on when I can play and for how long.

Same here. I enjoy the variety of things to do in Destiny, plus I got a bunch of new exotic weapons (The Last Word, Truth, Thunderlord thanks Xur!, Icebreaker, Dragons Breath....etc.) in the past couple of weeks that I still need to level up fully....I just don't have enough time to do all the fun things in Destiny! I need to take a vacation and hole myself up with my PS4 and get some sh%t done.
