honestly I was kind of hoping not to reach 34 this week and I haven't. ive been upgrading guns, doing the new missions, acquiring awesome gear and just having a good time enjoying the new content. I know ill eventually get to 34 but I am in no rush at all. am I the only one?

I got x2 Ethric Light from Nightall and x2 from PoE...wasn't exactly going for it but I'm 34 with an upgraded Fatebringer and one Ehtric Light to still use.
-
I'm not trying, its just happening. Got 3 light this week, 2 into one character with 1 remaining. Next week 3 + 1 is enough for the other two to be 34. The thing is, the way destiny works, being higher lvl is more important that a gun being maxed, so to do it any other way is a waste.

Game ends at 34. Have to make it last until September 201?.. 34, then what? SSDD until boredom chases you to another game? Been there, done that. It can wait... I don't get a 'medal' for being 34! Just kill quicker, fight less hard and find 'Boredom' creeping closer. Remember the Crota hard posts: "must be 32 and Max Gally"? I killed him with every tool available, and Gally last! From 6 man to 2 man teams. Reason: bored shitless! Don't want to repeat that in HOW and there already, so brakes on and creep along... What's the rush? Bragging rights? To whom? Who really cares what I achieve except me in this world? Take your time and have fun.

I got to 34 by having fun it was not rushing but it honestly was not hard do prison of elders for some etheric light upgrade a nice peice of armor upgrade a exotic bam 33 then do trials and kick ass and bam +2 etheric light and boom im a 34 (thats not including the armor core you get from the 32 PoE)

I ascended one piece of Vanguard armour, but that was just because I like the look of it. My stats set for 34 is going to be the PoE set, but until then I'm just collecting different sets to ascend later. It's gonna take a while though since I'm pretty stubborn about keeping to one character :P

I'm loving taking my time, I can't wait until next week when the bosses change in the prison.

You're not alone... After grinding for months I'm taking my time and having fun again. Gotta learn where all those chests are to get more keys, for starters and having fun upgrading new weapons. Also having fun playing with the reforge process. Got an awesome roll on my Another NitC scout: Final Round, Explosive Rounds and Firefly... Boom! This is one I'll be upgrading with Etheric Light if I ever get one.

Actually, it's not that hard to hit 34 week one. I'm just a casual player and I hit 34 last night. I think it's just RNG luck. I have 3 characters. I did PoE 28 with each of them and got 2 etheric light. I ran PoE 32 once and got an armor core. So I leveled up my exotic helm, bought the gauntlets and leveled up the chest and boots with etheric light. Poof. Level 34 without trying hard.
-
I made the mistake of not trying to be 33. I gave my armor core to my alt to get them to 32.

You better believe you aren't the only one!!! I am in NO RUSH, because it's going to be maybe September til any more new content...that's a really really long time from now to play the same thing over and over and over....

One major reason I won't be a 34 any time soon is cause of lack of friends, and yes I'm aware of LFG and the recruiting but I did that for Crotas End and VoG and never had a pleasant experience come from it. So that greatly deterred me from using those avenues this time. When you're a younger gamer as in below 20s, its so easy to make friends and what not. I know cause I remember. But now that I'm hitting close to 30, the task is that much harder. I've got kids of my own and the younger crowd isn't very understanding of that. I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to do some of this end game content, which is unfortunate but I guess that's what happens in cases like this.
