Bump.
People don't realize lfg site and recruitment forum is matchmaking with randoms. I think that if there were in game matchmaking tools such as the ideas you have...so many more people would raid. Being that it's optional the ppl that don't like it don't even have to touch it. For whatever reason people are selfish and don't want other to raid idk lol I just don't get it.

由CBO MRMARSTON編輯: 4/24/2015 9:26:48 PMTo the OP: I have a few points of concern in the spoiler
I like your ideas for matchmaking in raids, it appears to be a cohesive and rational design. I have a few suggestions. Allow existing matches to open to matchmaking so that players still have control of their match and don't lose their progress. After three or four attempts the players from matchmaking (in regards to this option of matchmaking) may be kicked. Players must be in the same chat channel.
I can only speak for myself but... I remember a particularly slow Winter's Run strike where I must have done 90% of the work throughout the strike, when I wasn't getting kills I was reviving some moron that kept on dying. I knew I had a third guy that was AFK, or so I thought. It turns out this guy had been farming. The scoreboard showed me with in excess of 200 kills, the moron left during the fight with Aksor. And the third guy had just over a hundred kills. I was livid. My first bad experience with matchmaking weekly heroics was with the Mars strike where a troll rushed everything with his universal remote, every time he died the other guy and I worked our way to him to revive him. Then he rushed the Goliath Tank. We killed the tank minutes later and the troll left... In crucible I usually play on my own, most friends are PvE types or have stopped playing the crucible. I have resorted to the opt in to team chat because I am on my own. In normal crucible matches and Iron Banner I am often the only person to opt into team chat. The other players stay in fire team chat or are in a party. Other times people opt in to team chat but don't communicate ( maybe they are in a party I don't know) or rage constantly. And then there are times people do not play. Why do people not participate or communicate in the Iron Banner? Some of the best gear is available. My answers are people aren't really competitive or it is RNG, the best gear is handed out at random, as long as there is some participation and you are present for the after-match awards it doesn't really matter. Alternatively people just want what Saladin has to offer and only do enough to get their iron medallions redeemed so they are not wasting time In the Iron Banner I have gone against full teams on numerous occasions with no other competitive teammates, no one communicates, or some idiot or troll takes heavy ammo when half the team is trying to reach the ammo's drop zone, whatever. Those are my experiences with matchmaking My point is matchmaking is often dysfunctional. I enjoy this game and thusly play it a lot. I approach this game as a game, but also an investment of MY TIME so I TRY to be good at this game and I give it my all. I don't have ridiculous expectations of people, I stop playing when I have a phone call or to feed my dog, too. But I expect players to put forth the same level of cooperation and effort as myself. Thusly I am selective who I play with, and I am leery of people from LFG. That is not selfishness.
Your vision of a "perfect matchmaking system" is just that. A VISION. To achieve a system as complex as that which works efficiently is nothing short of unreasonable. Bungie's has enough problems fixing AMMO glitches. You expect that they could pull off something like this? Sry bud. Keep dreaming.
I can just copy paste this and save myself some time, you're both saying the same thing.
