So in case you all missed it, the reef preview was today and I can say that despite not having a new raid, I am genuinely excited for this release. Upgrades will be available to seemingly all legendary or better weapons as long as they are already maxed out. This upgrade will require a new material found in nightfalls, the arena, and occasionally from strikes (new lvl 28 dragon strikes). Armor is not as diverse when it comes to upgrades however, as only HoW armor sets, previous raid gear, and IB gear will be upgradable. At least we will have more options then just all looking like Crota spawns. As for the reef itself, it will have its own vault and vendors and they will be bringing back the Queens wrath armor and weapons as well as some new shaders for both the queen and ones that represent each individual Fallen House! Still more to come on trials of osiris but I did hear that there are at least 2 ghosts that were found in the reef social area in the time that they were there. So even if there are some things you have been holding on since before HoW, you may be able to upgrade it with this new dlc. Also the speaker will now be able to exchange ascendant shards for energy and vice versa as well and shards for glimmer. Same set up goes for radiant materials as well. Only SHARDS can be traded for glimmer. Well it will definitely be an anticipated dlc for me and im looking forward to hearing the clans thoughts on these new additions. MS
