How did Bungie go down from being a top tier game developer to this....
even the user rating is 6/10...

How much would YOU rate Destiny??
To me this game is a 6/10 mainly due to how addictive it is to play with others in strikes and raids... everything else needs MAJOR improvements and where is that story at?
but i did get my money's worth after 500ish hours

I often wondered why a game which appears to be mediocre to most critics (not all) is so widely played. While their are issues and hiccups (lackluster story and minimal content out the box), this game boast a rich lore (grimoire cards), excellent game play mechanics, and a few addicting elements. Let's face it, the RNG is addicting. Why do people gamble? You may lose loads of money and never win a thing, but when you do, it's an awesome feeling. That for me is why RNG so addicting. It can be annoying, but you stick around anyway. I do understand the frustration though, the amount of time they had to develop this game, you would think there would be more than what their is. Some glitches are also annoying (vault of glass bullshit, lag issues, etc). Pvp is fun, bottom line. You may not like it, but I always wondered why? Compared to other games it's not horribly different. I think the main gripe is that pvp feels tacked on, but I never really felt that way. Weapon balancing is always going to be an issue, but that is in every game. Gameplay 9/10 Story 2/10 Lore 9/10 Content 6/10 Overall 8.7 in my opinion, many things could be addressed in the future, but that is not an excuse. Overall, its still a fun game which Is widely played By many.

6/10 last gen can't be used as an excuse for lack of content. Not when games like Gta, skyrim, fallout, and borderlands exist. They're all way more massive and run way smoother on last gen than destiny. And think about it, nothing crazy big happens in destiny, I've seen more action in viva piñata(jk but still). Destiny is just way too lacking to be anything higher than a 6. Does this mean it's not necessarily fun? Not at all, bringing a couple friends along always adds some flavor. But for a story driven game, there's a massive lack of story. And don't give me that grimoire crap, the lore is beautifully written, but it does nothing to advance the plot or really identify the plot beyond "darkness bad, light good."

8/10 You can't base a score on how many hours you put into a game. The Last of Us is a shining example of this. Just because this game has taken up a ton of my free time since September and continues to in smaller spurts (THANK YOU, BLOODBORNE) doesn't mean that it is without flaws. The loot system can be downright frustrating, the story leaves so much to be desired, and the social features are pretty dismal. However, the shooting mechanics are top notch, the raid mechanics are a lot of fun, and the lore is there that could facilitate an amazing story. The game isn't perfect but it's solid and ripe with potential. I will play through HoW and seriously consider dropping more coin on it this fall.

7/10 but SO much is trying to be done by bungie to make it the coveted 10. If destiny 2 isn't fixed, then just give up. This destiny version was naive and now bungie has a grasp on what they've should've done and how they could fix it. I have faith in bungie that if they don't want to loose money, THEY BRING BACK THE -blam!-ING ORIGINAL GRIMORE/ STORY WRITERS AND IMPLEMENT THEIR INITIAL IDEAS TO MAKE THE DESTINY GAME WE ALL WANT.
i don't always type in caps, but when I do, I'm a little angry
I'd give it an 8, which is a shame because it could be a 10. Some of the issues bother me less even though they annoy me like the cut scenes. I can see how bungie thought we wouldn't want to skip them. However, some issues are so glaring it makes you wonder how the hell this happened. Why would you make gear so situational, no one weapon or piece of armor covers all encounters then give limited storage space. Who thought nobody would keep weapons when you can only equip one exotic and tier one weapons are still useful in the crucible. Also, you can run indefinitely but you have to wait five seconds each time you stop? Of all things to cut out, the story is one? On a game like this?! I would've loved to be a fly on the wall of that meeting where someone thought it'd a good idea to remove the story. Lmfao

I'd give this game a 8. Lower levels are fun then add raids. I found myself waiting to get back on when I wasn't playing. It's when your level capped and don't need raid items it gets boring. New content will bring it back for me full force I'm sure.

Want story? Go for the Grimoire Just want to relax and play? You dont need to follow a complex story while playing, no worries.

Destiny is 10/10 for sure. I don't play it anymore but it screams quality and has amazing addictive power over gamers. Even now 12 of my friends on destiny right now...

I would give it a 7.5/10 Its great game logged alot of time on it but after dark below I haven't touched it in over a month. I will come back once HOW drops but cant see me playing anywhere near what I was playing before. I just pop on the forums once and awhile too see if anything significant has changed but its still same shit as before.

8.5 / 10. Story is choppy. Blah blah blah Shooting mechanics are fantastic. Run mechanics sucks. How can you get the shooting mechanics so great and the screw up the run switch? Graphics are off the chart. Strikes and raids are incredible. Bounties are so boring it hurts lol. I try to choose bounties that I can fill with strikes. Character customization blows. Currency system seems designed by a 4 year old. Exotic weapons and armor balance is perfect. Character supers are amazingly well developed. Item storage is a complete afterthought and terrible. PvP looks great (I don't play it enough to weigh in knowledgeably however) Server issues have crippled the game at times. Gun balancing seems a continuous issue
