Explain them the reason and the positives of playing and more specifically playing with your friends.
If that doesn't work, ask them if you can play longer on one day if you don't play at all on other days.

Paper route rake leaves for neighbors. Shovel snow for neighbors. Ask around and do odd jobs paid my Nieghbor kid to help do all sort of chores and his parents thank me very time. I even paid him in used games also he earned enough off me since age 11 now 15 for all sorts of things. Also since he gamer and his parent do not understand since I have 2 ps4 and xbox1 and my 96 inch tv can be split to two screens I let him play at my house when I have land parties. I have had up 12 ps4 and 11 TV's going at my house. Thank god my game room is huge. My neighbors also hate that I let my kids game all the time but really would rather have them home gaming then doing who knows what. That even with my kids playing all sorts of team sports. Still have time for church on Sunday. Then again when a dr tells you at age 20 almost 19 years ago you going to die you look at life differently. It just like parent that think card games like magic and Yugi oh or Pokemon are devil games I just do not get it. At the same time also my kids are very mature and responsible for their age. Maybe if you showed your parents you are responsible that would go along way.
