Mass effect is a top 3 game series of all time for me so I wouldn't disagree, but I know plenty of people who couldn't get into it because they don't like cutscenes (a lot of the younger generation 17-22 I've noticed like my cousins and literally every one of their friends find cutscene/dialog heavy games boring). Kills me every time I argue with them over video games...

I actually felt the way they do playing the ME3 demo, but it really grew on me, I started to care about the characters and story, it made me want to live in that world, I even read the first two novels (I don't want to deal with Reapers though).

Playing through them in order is something incredible, with the Grand culmination of everything being a very important and traumatic part of me 3, which for me was the true end of mass effect as we knew it, it gave you a hint that no matter what you did, your story was coming to a close
mordin
and even with the botched ending, and extended ending that imo made it worse, that situation was the end. I've never been more emotionally invested in a game or set of characters, and to be honest don't think I ever will.
