Increased damage, not critical. But I never run with that equipped anyway. And my friend it also worked for was using gunslinger.

I doubt they would put a weak spot behind them anyway, but searching all over, the general consensus is that nobody has tried that particular method. Can't see it being useful even knowing it exists behind an enemy.. if it ever happens to be facing away, I'll try a sniper to its back and see.
