So I was playing IB earlier & there were multiple instances (I repeat multiple) where I came across a level 28-29 player & we engaged in a firefight.
We were at a sensible distance but unlike in the REAL WORLD, this 28-29 player had a chance against a me a level 31 player. A few times I was even demolished (IE they show half health & I'm watchin my ghost suck it up)
IB is power advantageous right?? We'll quite frankly I submit that is WRONG (I don't care what Bungie says) This thing is crap, I should be destroying anyone under 30. What is the point of having an event to test your skills, when it is basically just the same as normal crucible (which sucks due to lag)
I'll still play (and Bungie knows it unfortunantely) but serously, what a joke.
PS I faced a 27 and he almost beat me (both of us had vex's & were warlocks) kinda sad right.
EDIT 1: I now understand attack levels on guns do NOT change from 29-31. I knew having a higher/fully leveled gun made a difference but thought player level influenced this as well (bad assumption with this game) So we are all doing the same amount of damage in that range of levels.
Also I now see the defense levels of players 29-31 are very very very close. Like a body shot rather than a headshot close. With this in mind, I will now go in expecting IB to be the same as crucible (with more advantage to 31s against those under 28)
For those saying I'm just bad, I didn't say it happens all the time & see recent Kd's etc. I'm not complaining about dying, I don't play PvP that much so who really cares, I am more or less stating that this power gap I thought existed DOESN'T, therefore making this "event" pointless...
PS: The lag is REAL people!! Lol

由harrymfa编辑: 12/17/2014 4:50:45 PMI played 7 matches last night, didn't lose a single one. I cheesed with Suros, mainly for the bounty, and I couldn't believe how fast I was dropping other players. Also, my Voidwalker needs at least two melee hits to drop an enemy in regular Crucible, but I was blowing them up with one, while surviving shotgun hits up close. So, I say the level balance is good. What's a joke are the rewards. There's little incentive to play for the shit that's being offered.

1 回复I had a blade dancer stab me, I survived and meleed him once and poof he died. Best PvP moment ever. He was 25 and I was 31

The level advantages are there, but skill wins out. I saw a level 20 in the last IB wrecking people with his sniper rifle. Also I saw a 23 on my team yesterday hit a pair of 29's full on with a rocket launcher and only take them to 25%. So, IB is working, but it doesn't make it easy mode.

1 回复由steg567编辑: 12/17/2014 1:22:24 PMJust because level advantages are enabled doesn't mean that you will become invincible against anyone of a lower level. Please just get over yourself, you are probably not as good as you think you are and got out played by a more skilled player

Within 3 levels is competitive. I am 31 and for the most part I melted lower levels in IB with Suros. When I got destroyed by level 27s, I also was experiencing lag. Lag is a issue with destiny pvp but most of the time its not bad enough to be concerned. I know its lag when it's taking longer than usual for me to kill someone with my primary. It's a dead giveaway when you see people disappearing and reappearing somewhere else and you die in the process

1 回复It is player advantage. You just have poor gun skill, or your guns are not even maxed out. Want to really know to see if player advantage is real? Go in to a game as a level 20-25..,, You will see the difference. If you are 31. Players in a 3 skill difference from you are able to compete easily against you. If not...you are a challenge. Thus..players level 31,30,29, and 28 can out gun you. Didn't you read anything Bungie states involving IB?? If you get killed by anything lower than a 28, you just suck.

1 回复So you are complaining about the Iron banner because there were better players than you. Typical whiny little bitch.

1 回复If they have a weapon at 300-331 and are within 3 levels it should be just about an even fight depending on who gets the first shot.

2 回复由NathanW18编辑: 12/17/2014 3:08:29 PMIs this for real? You think this is an event to test skill and then cry when you get destroyed by a lower level player? What you want is a completely unbalanced event, so it allows higher levels to think they're better than they are. Thankfully, it is not like that.
-
6 回复So you're saying no one below your level should be able to kill you? So nobody under 31 could play? What an incredibly stupid idea.

1 回复
What is the point of having an event to test your skills, when it is basically just the same as normal crucible
Your talking about an event to test your skill while at the same time complaining that you're not totally owning people of a lower level? Somewhat contradictory don't you think? For the record I'm a level 28 and have been beaten plenty of times in a one on one shoot out with level 30/31. Especially if they have a vex, in which case I get 1 or 2 shoted...

You need more level separation, for what you're wanting. A level 20 can't hurt you but a level 27, with maxed weapons is someone to be careful of. There is no need for a 31, to wreck a 30 or lower, that's just being dumb, unbalanced, and unfair. There about a 10% difference between each level. Ok, that being said, it's no different than Crucible, or any other Activision MP game mode. Chaotic, unbalanced and purposefully broken. You can dodge, duck, weave, take cover, shoot a guy 8-12 times, melee them, and they still can shoot you 3-4 times and you're dead. You can see these guys a mile away. Just running through bullets, standing in the open, not using tactics or getting good shots, they are lagging, getting comped, have crappy Internet and are just plain Ol' back stabbing, corner cutting, cheating human beings...

1 回复There's a 3 level range in damage effectiveness so 28/29 -31 would have nearly equal opportunity against each other. The next factor is guns, doesn't matter what level you are, if your gun is maxed youre gonna do some damage! I played with my hunter at 25 earlier, I went up against 30/31 and could win because of maxed guns but I was -blam!-ed if they got a couple of good shots in because my armour is weak.

1 回复The weapons you bring into battle matter. A fully upgraded weapon will produce much better results than one that isn't. I remember seeing a graph on the level to damage ratio last IB. Being two to three levels apart didn't really make a difference. It was the weapons equipped that made the difference.
