It depends on whose using thorn, statistically thorn will always win when you compare rof, impact and range. So in the hands of a skilled player, the thorn will win,... Same goes for the vex. In the hands of a skilled player the vex will destroy everything. I prefer the thorn more for versatility and the fun factor.

I find vex to be more versatile. I've been shot at by thorn before. But it's never beat me 1v1.

I think the vex is not good at all in long range. Superb in short to mid range. Thorn Is awesome in all ranges with the right class and perks setup.

Yeah but that's why I have praedyths revenge for long range. Not gonna use my primary for long range except a scout rifle. And I'm not a scout rifle guy
