The ridiculous over exaggeration in this post needs to be addressed.
Destiny has a lot of people who play and enjoy it, and it works fine as a game. Whether or not you like the game is irrelevant (I personally don't), but you can't deny its success.
Watch Dogs ended up being a success despite delays and the graphics downgrades. It broke the record for most day one sales of a Ubisoft game and has a sequel in development.
Assassins Creed was a blunder out of the gate for Ubisoft that they will hopefully not repeat again, and they saved themselves somewhat with the free DLC compensation and a free Ubisoft game for season pass owners.
GTA V hasn't had any major launch issues. Don't know what your even doing there besides attempting to add more names to the list.
Far Cry 4's major issues are limited to the PC version, and it has had several patches to address issues, with several more on the way.
I can't speak on Drive Club as I don't know much about it.
The Crew has had recent launch issues, but it only released on Tuesday so you have to give the developers more time to fix them.
Now the final one, Halo: MCC. Man your overreaction is close to insanity with regards to this game. Campaign worked day one, Custom games and Forge worked day one, but because of matchmaking issues at launch (That are fixed for me and many others now) you and many others seem set to crucify this game and 343i by extension, even though they had minimal involvement in the development (Development was split between like 7 different studios).
I feel like the internet and the people on it would drive themselves mad if they didn't have something to constantly complain about.

由HUNTERxKILLER编辑: 12/14/2014 6:06:44 PMI'm not saying it will 100% happen (You never really know with Youtube sources) but I've been subscribed to this guy for a while and his info tends to be correct. Rockstar will obviously announce it before hand so we will know soon if its correct or not.

What patient and understanding? I'm sorry that I don't jump on "[insert franchise here] is doomed" or "[insert game here] failed" hate train at the first sign of trouble. Developers are just people. They make mistakes, have to make certain compromises, and always have both the publisher and the unchanging promised release date hanging over their heads. What matters is whether they fix and learn from their mistakes or not. For example, If the MCC was left in the state it was day one with no explanation from 343i there would be a reason to complain, but because they have already released multiple patches, apologized, and even promised compensation, I can forgive them for their mistakes.

Yes, this was common back when everything had to be on the disc before release, and post-release patches were not a common practice. But I don't know of a major AAA title released in the last 6-7 years that hasn't had a post-release patch, and the result is that developers know they can release games broken and patch them later, because we the consumers continue to buy them anyway. I just don't see that changing anytime soon.

My point is that even though things are the way they are and it's normal now, there's no point in arguing against the fact that the way AAA games are developed has significantly changed for the worse in several ways. It isn't about forgiving developers or acknowledging that everyone messes up. Even though the bugs aren't intentional, the practice of releasing before finishing bugfixes often is. I'm not unforgiving, just disappointed. It's about being conscious of the fact that the games you buy to enjoy are becoming harder and harder to enjoy because of things that are usually avoidable, and were commonly avoided in the past.

[/quote] No accounting for taste, but I find it is ironic that you feel your opinion outweighs someone else's? That theirs is irrelevant but somehow yours is? Success? A lot of us bought the game not realising that Bungie totally lost the plot, unfortunately by then it was too late. IMHO. =}

My opinion is nowhere to be found in that post. Destiny has had massive amounts of sales, maintains a significant online community, and even has a sequel on the way already. These are the facts. Wanna dispute them some more?

Fact is not everyone holds the same opinion as you, that was my point.

That Destiny was a success not my opinion. I just listed the reasons why this is a fact. My only opinion was in quotations (I personally don't like Destiny). Whether Destiny was a success or not is not based on our personal opinions. Its a success based on sales, online staying power, and several other factors. An opinion would be whether we like the game or not, of which you and I have both said we don't.

Sales do not equal success, not everyone including me and many others are still playing it. A lot of people traded it in, but what the hell you will just claim your factually correct and it is not an opinion. Etc, etc. Believe what you want idk =}
