I've decided that I'm going to put in a latter of resignation and probably officially finish on Wednesday, then come back for a half day next saturday due to low staff numbers.
I'm overstressed, losing sleep and frankly just hating the job.
I've been here for just under 10 months.
Not sure what I'm going to do. I was going to wait until I found another job, but I don't think I can. I'm just going to keep looking, leave and then keep looking.
Sorry Flood, I don't get on here much anymore and I just need to vent.
EDIT:
So people are aware, I posted this to say where I work:

1 回复Before quitting one job, you should always have another lined up and ready to go so you don't get stuck in unemployment.

3 回复Funny, I'm roughly in the same position. I'm talking to my co-worker about it tomorrow. I don't think I'm going to leave though, they just need to cut my shifts. This job has really kicked my face into the ground, I've been pushing myself for far too long with it trying to adapt, but it's just resulted in me not sleeping or eating, which is really screwing with me, it just gets worse every week. I've worked stressful jobs before, it's just how it goes. But this one is just another beast entirely. I'm just going to go back to school and finish up my degree. I've been trying for five years to make it work without one, but at this point I'm just kind of thinking "-blam!- it, might as well". I'd rather have tried to fight for my future than to settle with whatever the hell I have now. Obviously this means I don't have another job lined up, and that's not such a bad thing really. I've only had a job lined up after quitting another one time, otherwise I've always been able to land on my feet.. or face considering they weren't of much help in the end. In any case, I'll survive it. Do what you feel you need to do. It's not like you were going to make a career out of your current job anyways, I assume. You'll find something else.

3 回复Well seeing as you are only 18 and don't need the cash to survive I wouldn't blame you. Unfortunately once you don't have your parents to rely on you'll more likely still come across this problem and there isn't a whole lot you can do about it except deal with it. As another poster said, that's just life. Most people don't like their jobs and some dread going to it. I don't particularly like mine but I've also been here for 3 years so not too easy to just quit and find another once you've already got a routine going.

2 回复Quitting your job and not having one lined up is retarded. Not only do employers generally link to see you working while taking up a 2nd job but not you have nothing to fall back too. It could takes months for you find another. We all get stressed, lose sleep and dislike our current jobs. Thats life. It'll always feel like that.
