Would you rather have intelligence or perpetual happiness?
No, picking intelligence does not mean perpetual depression.
Clarification: Choice 1 states that you will be happy for ever, as a function of who you are and your traits.
Choice 2 states that you will have intelligence, but will have to work for happiness.

I would say happiness, because if your happy you may not find a need for intelligence But if your intelligent you could still have a longing for happiness... But who is to say that intelligence won't bring you happiness or that happiness may somehow lead you to becoming more intelligent...?
Good thing it's just hypothetical.
1 回复I genuinely just said aloud, 'Oh, well if I have to work for the happiness, that's fine.'

I'm actually smart enough to be happy. At least to me, I have nothing to complain about, I have it really good and I'm smart enough to see that, So I don't complain, I'm really happy I have a job, food in the morning, and a bed at night.

2 回复Is rather be a realist than an optimist. I'm assuming happy kind of equals optimism, anyway.

1 回复the problem with intelligence is that you know what you're capable of, but you know you will never achieve that goal in your lifetime. I would much rather be an idiot and be happy than be intelligent. because in my eyes if you're intelligent then you will never truly be happy. (just my opinion though)
