Hold the phone, stop right there. The fastest way to get through a strike is if everyone on the fireteam shoots everything in the way. think about it. The more people shooting the more average DPS you are doing and the faster stuff dies. Now i'm not saying that if by shooting and moving forward you get past some mobs that you need to turn around and shoot them too. That is what your teammates are for ;) The first room in the Sepiks Prime strike is a good example. If everyone enters the room guns blazing it takes just as much time to kill everything as it does to walk across the room. I guess my point is this. who cares if you got to the boss 20 seconds before me. You aren't going to do enough damage fast enough to make any real difference in the overall time without my gun helping. So you are better off killing everything.

 • For the most part I think you're right, but this weeks Heroic (Val Tul'rik or whatever that big dudes name is). You can basically skip everything in the strike leading up to the lieutenant fight (inside master chiefs head). This is where the hair is split. You could fight all that non-sense on the way to the first lieutenant fight, or you could run and jump along the left path and just skip it all (minus a couple that get in the way -circumstantial). Devils lair is the same. No need to fight anything until you get to the hive vs fallen room. Pick your poison. I'd rather sparrow all the way there, some run and pop a few enemies along the way, some go out of their way to kill every last thing standing like a patrol... If you're moving and heading straight for objectives (minus a kill or 2), you're more in the runner category.
