That's absolutely brilliant! I'm really curious about the Vex now, and what the Stranger knows! Your theory also fits so well with the heart of the black garden, I just can't seem to piece it together... It seemed like the heart was in a pocket of time and space, on Mercury. And when we destroyed it, the pocket collapsed as well! The heart was also draining the traveller's power, or so we're told. But maybe that wasn't it's purpose, but a necessity for something else. And somebody or something turned Mercury into a giant machine...
Could the heart have been their attempt to transcend time and space?

What if the black garden was inside the traveler and the black heart was draining the traveler or was the core of the travel that was corrupted by the darkness...only speculation. There is proof that the black garden may have been inside the traveler, at least before they changed the story.

No. To be more accurate, the Black Garden is on Mars, the thing is that the Black Garden with the Black Heart in it is located sometime in the future. Imagine time as a ribbon with past on one end and future on the other. The Vex basically snipped out a segment of time and stitched the remaining ends together. The removed portion is the Black Garden.

The Black Garden is a mysterious location which is not of any known space or time, and the birthplace of the Vex. A Vex portal to this location is on Mars.....the reason they it's listed as being on mars is because that's they only way we know how to get there so far. There's no other way of saying where the location is.

If the black garden was on mars it would be apart of the patrol area but it's not because it's a separate place. The black garden doesn't exist anywhere really as far as we know. To know the location of the black garden is to know the birth place of the vex. You tell me...where the Vex created on mars??

The notion of their creation is absurd to refute, because they travel through time. The ruins on Venus could have been made tomorrow by the Vex traveling to our yesterday...so in our timeline, they'd always have existed. So the notion that the Vex were created on Mars isn't outside the realm of possibility. They could have been created on Mars, millions of years in the future, then went back in time and set themselves up in our past.

It's possible but 8 the ghost didnt know where we were how could the gate be on mars. The black garden is also green with a mix of plants and machinery. Mars is a Sandy planet there should be a resemblance to present mars somewhere.

The left is referred to as "Mars" and the right is "Venus." But they are really the same room in the present, but the left is the past (note the Predecessor Vex) and the right is the future (Descendant Vex.) Venus in the past is barren. Venus in the future is overgrown.
