I don't really know where to start honestly. A lot happened in this one. The origins of Nora's rampages, I presume? Or am I just forgetting something? The dialogue at the end left me very curious. And this MACH soldier. Who is it? I feel like there are many significant pieces of information in here. But I would have to say my favorite part was at the end. What unfortunate timing.

It was a very sorrowful moment. It's never easy to write those kinds of things in a story. You know it's well written when it affects you as a writer too. I hated writing Tharsos' first experience in Old Denver. It wasn't easy doing that. Yes, people do tend to have terrible timing. In this case, it was especially bad.

"Hated" was the wrong word to describe it. But I agree completely. Events like that in a story can set a powerful dynamic that molds the story and its characters. At the very least, it allows readers to relate on a much closer level to the characters in a story.
