Realism in a mythic Sci-Fi game? Who's to say what's realistic in a fake universe Bungie has created? I'll tell you, Bungie. So the fallen don't bleed. Maybe they don't have anything even remotely similar to blood. Their souls escaping out of their heads isn't good enough? Their souls! That's some deep shit. The immature idea is that blood, gore, and darkness somehow equate to quality, realism, or maturity. This is Bungie's world. What's realistic for this world is whatever they want it to be.

Mature ratings, and maturity are two different things. A mature rating isn't saying the game is "mature", but that the suggested audience should be mature before participating in the games activities. You can have a "mature" game that doesn't get a mature rating.

You said I had an immature attitude for wanting more grit and dark overtones, which doesn't correlate with your arguement. Also, I never once said that these features make a game more mature, but that they are typically rated as Mature by the ESRB.
You said I had an immature attitude for wanting more grit and dark overtones
Correct.
which doesn't correlate with your arguement.
That is my argument. Arbitrarily wanting more grit and darkness, without regard to what the creators intended for something to be is, in my opinion juvenile.
Also, I never once said that these features make a game more mature, but that they are typically rated as Mature by the ESRB.
You said: "Also, in terms of maturity, blood and visceral scenes do equate mature ratings in the eyes of the ESRB. Strong language, which I said I wanted, also equate maturity in this context." Which sounded like you were saying that a mature rating indicates a mature game.

But, I did take into regard what Bungie wants with their game, even though I may not have stated it. I gave an opinion as to what I may add to Destiny given the opportunity, and I don't think you should assume that I am immature for doing so.

I said that I would like gore, but I did not say that gore was realistic. What is realistic, however, is the fact that a projectile(a bullet in our case), moving at a high velocity, would inflict visible damage. I stated that I wanted to see this visible damage demonstrated in-game. Also, Destiny takes place in our universe, as such the game should follow and demonstrate laws and theories that are used to describe our universe. This is what I was referring to when I stated that I wanted more realism.

The locations are Earth, Venus, the Moon, Old Russia, Mars, etc. These are places in our universe, and the main story is about the Human race, which is also a form of life in our universe. What leads you to believe otherwise?

Sure, it's similar, but then there are also space pirates, time traveling robots, Space Magic, and "The Darkness". Sure Bungie has modeled the Destiny universe after our own, but it is it's own thing. In which they've given themselves the creative license to create well beyond what is possible here.
