So, I just finished Bioshock Infinite. For those of you who finished it, what did you think? I really liked the story, but the gun play seemed a bit lacking. I did however really enjoy the skyhook movement system.
Thoughts?

由U124926编辑: 9/27/2013 3:17:31 AMThe first ten minutes are 10/10, then it becomes and stays 6/10 the rest of the way through. It's too bad really, I was so excited for it. But then the whole thing was just a long boring slog. Story was lacking even compared to Bioshock 2, but kept going to get to the end of it. Tried replaying it recently but didn't even get thirty minutes in again.

1 回复Amazing game. Lived up to the level of the original Bioshock. The ending mind-blam!-ed me for days.

It was its own beast. Story was not perfect, but no story ever is. Song Bird was not used to his full potential, at all. Missed having the choices that effected the story, like in the first two. Combat is hit and miss. Did not like how upgrading everything revolved around money. Overall, it was a great experience....but it was no Rapture.

I liked the game up to the ending. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it make everything that happened in the experience void? There is no Colombia, there is no Comstock, Elizabeth is just an average person with no special abilities, Booker is still a drunk with no idea of what happened and he is still in debt. Not the ending I wanted tbh.

2 回复The story was definitely the highlight, it nicely solved the problems that the original bioshock had with the pacing of it's story. The gunplay wasn't amazing, and some of the miniboss characters were just poorly designed (I'm looking at you Handymen!). I also noticed a ton of z-fighting on some of the games horizontal surfaces, which is always unfortunate. The sky rails were cool, but besides for mobillity I never used them for combat as much as the game wanted me to. Elizabeth was really well done, especially the mid-combat resources throw, aside from a few buggy instances. The lore of the game wasn't as seamless as the original bioshock, but that's mostly due to the infeasibillity of a flying city (quantum particles what?). It's a mixed bag as with most games, but it certainly was memorable in a good way.

3 回复Generally I like the gunplay a lot more than Bioshock, although this might be because the tone of the game fits with the gunplay style.
