Our year is starting to organize our graduation/formal (most of you would probably call it a 'prom.' You know, dress nice, dance with someone attractive, etc) and I'm hoping to go with a friend, if she decides she wants to go to it at all.
If not, ehh... probably will ask someone else, as long as she hasn't already filled in her form so that she's presented with female friends instead.
So yeah, did you go to your formal/prom?
Will you go?
Had any good memories or crazy shenanigans?

2 回复EDIT (yeah, we still can't edit in iOS but I thought I'd update this): Well, I'm going with that friend that I mentioned, but we're also being presented with her best friend who didn't have anyone to go with. We had to send in old photos so that they could be compared with our current selves. I'm using the above picture! The actual formal isn't until November 7th, though.

Friends, Floodians, lurkers, lend me thine eyes. Prom is the time and place to prove that you are a man, or show a side of yourself that you normally keep hidden. Like a cute, single girl? Ask her to prom, and she will notice you (in my case, it brought me out of a friend zone). Like to secretly jam to songs at home? Dance then, and become a hero (I personally recommend learning at least one ballroom dance to assure excellence). For those of you scared about what others might think of you, forget it. Forget your fear, and become who you truly are, for you will take your place in the world soon enough. Go to prom. If you gain absolutely nothing else out of the experience, you can at least laugh at other people. Journey forth my brothers, lest you become insignificant. Good luck and good dancing.

No. I tried going to a homecoming dance once. I kept bumping into people, I couldn't see anything, it was about as humid as a sauna, and the music was so loud that I left on account of preserving my ability to hear (and sanity). Dances. Not even once.

I didn't go to my senior prom, but my class almost started it's own student led prom, apparently they were making you take a breathalyzer test and some other restrictive stuff that most people were against at the official prom. We had the venue set and a lot of the detail worked out, even a DJ if i remember correctly, it wasn't until we started collecting money for it that the principal shut us down.
