I would use travel time. Have the bullets velocity decrease with distance, so you can hit targets at range but not insane distance.

  • While that might hypothetically work, I don't like it personally. Since you aren't able to view your bullet from an angle, there's no easy way of judging how fast the bullet is travelling relatively at a given distance. I'm concerned that it would be too difficult for players to read their shots and adjust accordingly. It's a nice idea, I just feel that Bullet Drop in comparison is much easier to read :)
