I noticed change in random people around me when I acquired a lot of money though around my 18th. Friends stay the same but I had all these random people I didn't know act all different, mostly in a good way, because I had a reputation.

Everything was kind of built around favors that people owed me, something stupid like I did their homework for them, or introduced them to some girl/guy. And then I'd cash these favors in for other people, like one instance was some kid was having a party and this dude wanted to get invited, so I told the guy to invite him. He did. *shrug* Edit: I forgot to mention, I introduced the guy who was having the party to his gf at the time. Now, outside of high school, I'm the middle one. I have my own group of close friends and I'm popular with them.
