Why are so many using the term "magic", if there is anything official about magic please link me, because I haven't seen it yet. In the trailer they spoke about the travelers "powers", as in the title. So it's in my opinion some high-tech equipment, which gives the guardians the power to keep up with the other beings.
Even if futuristic things and magic might become pretty similar, it's still not "magic".

I agree by saying that the "magic" should be rooted in technology. We might eventually find out that the so called magic is just made by another alien race with incredible technology, nobody can explain how it works so the presentation of magic persists. (Alien technology + Traveller's powers = Warlock "magic") I surely hope that Warlocks are not able to cast fire with their bare hands; that would be weak.
