I always hated that about Bungie. The games could have been so much better if they had included just a fraction of material from the books. (Reach)

Exactly. I went back and reread the Reach book just before the game came out, and that was the biggest disappointment since the Halo 2 cliffhanger. All the timelines I'd been studying of when battles took place, how the war was at that time etc. meant absolutely nothing.
