Combat skins? Are you f*cking sh1tting me?
Forerunners would decorate the floor with any Nanosuit user's entrails.
Combat skins orders of magnitude more powerful than the Chief, who already would give the Nanosuit some stiff competition.
The Nanosuit makes MJOLNIR look like a toaster by comparison.
That said, any Forerunner Skin better than Class 2 would wipe the floor with both.
But Iron Man's armor would tear a Forerunner's in half.
Well, I don't know too much about either (never played crysis and on page 120 of cryptum). I just wanted to know which would be superior.
You could give me a general idea of each of their capabilities if you don't mind?
The Nanosuit can tank gauss rounds, gives one superhuman strength and speed, has a variety of visual modes from infrared and ultraviolet, is immune to most forms of scanning, can turn invisible on a whim, and is really damn good at keeping you alive. Alcatraz, the protagonist of Crysis 2, had half his organs blown out and was basically using the suit as a wheelchair/iron lung the whole game, and even half-dead he was still pretty much on par with/superior to a SPARTAN-II. The suit eventually started growing into his wounds and harvesting his organs though, so that's sort of a drawback. It has a finite source of power but can use damn near anything to recharge in seconds, including oxygen.
A Forerunner suit is pretty much a WMD to itself though, and shits all over the Nanosuit.
Do bear in mind these are crysis gauss rounds we're refering to, not halo ones. Also Alcatraz didn't quite get half his organs blown out, he did take extensive trauma to the heart, both lungs and damaged his spine, though not to a severe extent as he was still able to walk with the nano-suit powered down.
He's not immortal though, a few rounds from an LMG will tear him apart without armour mode on. The suit gives him extraordinary regeneration, not durability, much like the shields on mjolnir armour as they regenerate and protect the user from harm.
