Please correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding if you are a new player to d2 on steam and purchase/pre order the latest dlc/ deluxe edition you still need to buy all the old content so new dlc for deluxe is £85 on steam which from what im aware contains no previous dlcs and old content/dlcs are about £120 which would mean a new d2 player would be looking at paying over £200 for d2
That's a bit of a stretch of the wallet if I'm correct considering I'm guessing it still doesn't cover all platforms but only the one platform purchased on

1 回复Imo, all previous content should be included with the latest expansion Or should be added to the free game after a certain amount of time(12 months perhaps)
-
7 回复After the past decade, anyone who pre-orders Bungie's crap is getting exactly what they deserve and they don't get any sympathy from me.
-
4 回复The amount of content doesn't worth the price tag in the first place when I get as much as that for free in other games

由ben编辑: 5/17/2025 9:52:21 PMI bought a bundle with all of the content to date on sale including the final shape season pass and dungeons for $50 canadian on steam in March. I dont know how much it usually is but that felt very reasonable. The only things it didnt include were the witch queen and lightfall dungeon keys which is random but fine.

1. A new player wouldn’t “need” to spend that money. A better train of thought would be for them to try the free version, then IF they enjoy it then they can purchase the respective dlcs/expansions after considering what each one offers. 2. Now consider how much that same player would have to pay if this was call of duty or some other game that has a new game (not just expansion) every year & they wanted to play the 3-5 latest versions.

3 回复I preordered edge of fate.. but NLB available only for the full year ultimate bundle purchase. All preorders should get the weapon at some point like I should get it 2-3 weeks before the new contents drop.

2 回复Franchise died years ago. I purchased and played for fun, but now my wallet won't be purchasing any further into the franchise. The game is too outdated and doesn't have a competent team anymore, let alone any in-game monitoring or security.
-
6 回复Be glad its that "cheap" for todays pricing. Nintendo tries to squeeze 90 bucks out of their customers for a single title now. For the base game. Companies have just gotten way too greedy for my taste nowadays. I rather throw my money at other stuff than paying these money hungry clowns who provide half baked content.

7 回复Much better buying from cdkeys. Year of Prophecy ultimate is £65.99. The Light and Darkness collection is £29.99 and contains The Final Shape Expansion + Annual Pass u/grade Lightfall Standard Edition The Witch Queen Standard Edition 30th Anniversary Pack Beyond Light Pack Shadowkeep Pack Forsaken Pack
-
3 回复Six campaigns and the anniversary/forsaken packs for £145. That's quite a lot of content. Penny-pinchers will simply wait until it goes on sale again just like last week. I do that with older games all the time. Just set an alert and wait.

3 回复I will never understand the point of integrating cross play if not all the content you own isn’t carried over into a different platform. Another Bungo moment.
-
I totally agree. Anyone buying the latest DLC should then get everything that went before it included. Certainly iro campaign, story, exotic missions and raids. Dungeons, imo also include, but Bungie and some of the base may not agree. For balance, it's worth saying that on ps right now it's £8.69 (wahey) for the Legacy Collection. Light & Darkness set is £31.24 (previous pack + final shape). I would go as far to say that this is excellent value for money. I would say that if they put a tiny bit of effort to make the game playable for new and returning players. But they don't, so I can't.

4 回复& if you're on playstation it's more expensive & you need ps+ to even play the gane which is another 100 for the year
