I have never had a problem with this at all. Typically, if I have a specific exotic I want, I wait for that day, and I have it within 45 minutes.
Why is this a problem?

Abyss is one of the older clans and I believe was featured by Bungie at one point. They have a rich history of high level players. Dune is a great player and a solid person as well. So yes Abyss has a fantastic reputation.

You do you, but in my experience none of these things really make any difference in the ability to clear “higher end content” or not.
