Fairly isolationist but not as hard core as it used to be, in certain aspects. They'll help out with the metaphorical bridges, but at the same time they make sure their position isn't such that they get played in the longer term. 2 sides to every coin and it's usually not ALL bad.

Im very much not living life in isolation. I have copious friends and things to do. she only sees me when I am at home which is when I need to sleep or do school

My bad, didn't mean to imply that you did. More to say like... it can appear that way somewhat, even though that's not actually the case. Or... it's easy to misinterpret when there isn't some mutual understanding. Like when you say the thing about "looking at the wrong part" and "only sees me when I'm home" How to get that mutual understanding is a can of Worms though. Bunch of different angles; bunch of different dynamics that I probably shouldn't speak to for lack of knowing.
