I gave up waiting for them to fix it. Ended up selling my rx5700xt and buying a RTX2080 super.
8 months of unplayable performance in destiny was starting to piss me off, but then around 3 week ago I started getting stutters and other issues in games like warzone and apex.
At that point I just removed my RX5700XT from my rig and took it straight to the pawn shop. Even left myself without a gpu. I was so mad that I just wanted it gone.
Got my 2080 super a few days ago and it's running perfectly. Just spent like 9 hours grinding out weapons catalyst without a single issue.
Not one stutter and frames never dropped below 80fps in the new season activity while on high settings 120res. Averaging 100-144fpd pretty much everywhere I've been so far. Only drops below 100 when there is a lot happening.
With my 5700xt I couldn't even browse menues or swap gear without stuttering like crazy when flying/loading in.
Honestly I'll never buy an amd gpu again. Price to performance is nice but when your drivers suck it ruins everything.
Unfortunately I think you're right. I tested my 6800XT on some other games and I'm even more disappointed, already considering to sell it after a couple days.
I will probably try to find a good NVIDIA card but that's almost impossible in France at the moment 😥
ye was quite difficult for me but eventually found a seller. got the asus strix 2080super pre owned. The seller never really used it and said it was just a glorified display driver lol. It's a beast and in mint condition so I'm happy. Better than my 5700xt by miles. RX 6800xt might be a good card in the near future though. Tough choice bro.
