The mage is not taken aback by the womans otherworldly appearance, instead he just takes a low bow, his pointed hat nearly touching the ground before he returns to standing upright. “Greetings, O denizen the lower planes. I assume thou art the wizard in charge of the spell competition that I hath come here for.”

"Mr. Watson. Speak normally." [i]She says semi-haughtily, but then chuckles.[/i]

“What? Dost there be something wrong with my tongue? I think not. And I know not whom this John Watson is. I am the great and mysterious mage john of Watson, magister of frogwarts community college of cantrips, member of the secret water, and sage of sunnydale!” His robes somehow start to billow dramatically.

"If you insist. Anyway. Head through there." [i]The fireplace explodes into flames, forming a portal.[/i]

He smiles as the portal appears and enters it with his head held high.

[i]You appear in a desert, sandy with a blazing hot sun above. You hear her voice ripple across the dunes, "You will now find you can do magic. Make something small, yet interesting."[/i]

The great and mysterious John of Watson shall draw a sword from beneath his robes. A normal longsword, that he will grip firmly getting into a attack pose towards the vast emptiness in front of him. “This spell is one I hath studied and perfected for a fourscore years. Tis dubbed as ‘Power Word Sword!’ In order to cast, one must have a sword of any variation, any material, magical or not. With that in hand you strike a battle pose, with the sword poised to slash, cut, or jab or any of the such attacks. This spell taps into the very weave of magic itself, and In order to harness this weave you must cry a glorious battle cry, the power word in power word sword. The effect of this spell will see the sword doing damage to your foes. More importantly it will inspire the grandest of awe into all allies who witness such spell being cast! Now watch and learn...” He shall raise the sword back behind his shoulder and then swing it, crying a fearsome battle. With high mastery over such weapon he cuts in a perfectly diagonal line. His hand ne’er let’s it stray a inch or a millimeter from its trajectory as it cuts with such speed and precision that you can almost see it cut individual grains of dust floating in the air. As the blade completes its swing, it seems to gleam and shine in the hot desert air.

[i]A sigh, and a red portal appears like the one that took you here. "You can go Mr. Watson."[/i]

He notices her sign and his eyes go to her, shooting daggers. “Were you not impressed with my masterful display of magical ability? Such genius of a spell of this nature of complexity is not a easy one to be grasped by the simple minded!”

“All I know is destruction? Bah, tis not the destruction that makes the spell so mighty it is the inspiration that comes from it. You clearly cannot understand as much! You are aware that many first level spells and cantrips are naught but means to easily attack anyways, right?”

[i]"All you know is destruction. Farewell Mr. Watson." The portal moves at you, around 30 miles an hour fast.[/i]

He starts running backwards, knowing it will do naught but afford him another word. “Perhaps if ye were to give clear instructions people would know what you want them to create! Ye are no mage, but a coward who wishes to force me away because I have in my possession magic that you cannot comprehend!” He tries to say this and much more but eventually is cut off by the portal.

[i]Unbeknownst to him, the portal stops a few feet in front of him. All of a sudden, a large sound as if they smashed a guitar hooked up to the world's largest speaker is heard, and a giant wave of force rips across the dunes, "[b]INSULT MY MIGHT IF YOU MUST MR. WATSON, INSULT MY INTELLIGENCE, YOU WILL NOT END WELL. LEAVE, AND MAKE SURE YOU LEARN HOW TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AROUND SOMEONE OF POWER, AND THAT COULD KILL YOU IF THEY WANTED."[/b][/i]

He stops for a second, a fake look of terror on his face, and then starts laughing, deep hearty laughs. “You’d be surprised how many times I’ve heard words like that before. Oh so many times. You seem to know me and so you should know I don’t enjoy being told to shut up, actually on the contrary I enjoy talking to people with power. I’ve gone right up to all four of the horsemen of the apocalypse and tried to start a conversation with them. And guess what? I got similar responses, if they didn’t try to immediately kill me without speaking words first. This is the norm of things really, people with so great and mighty power tell me of such power with their booming voices, and tell me how easily I could be crushed under their boot like an ant. It really makes me wonder who’s making all these boots that can crush me! Well this ant just came here to have a wee bit O fun, cast a few spells, make a few power word swords, have a few laughs, pretend to act like a arrogant mage, and then maybe make a references to real mages! I don’t see how that is so destructive, and barley see how that means all I know is destruction, O so powerful one mine.”
