It's the best choice, not the only choice. How many people have it? Sleeper WAS a viable alternative, then YOU PEOPLE threw a fit. Now there's ONE dominant option. Nerf QBB and something else will fill the vaccum, then we start this whole cycle over again.

Ahhhhhh, another one of those people who have a hundred synonyms for "nerf". Just say it. "Let's nerf everything until it's the blandest, gray, crap porridge nobody wants." It's not about nerfing one particular gun or armor piece, it's the precedence that it sets.
