The sun is darkened and the only Light to be found comes from you and your partner fighting as one. Stay in close proximity to your partner and your abilities recharge at a faster rate. Stray too far, and your enemies will be given a waypoint leading to your location.
Sounds interesting. I'm not a fan of PVP, and probably wont be playing this, but that's a neat idea.
If you can’t find a partner, don’t worry. We’ll play matchmaker and find one for you.
Thank you. Some players have difficulty putting teams together. This was a wise choice on your part that I'm sure took very little effort in leveraging your existing matchmaking systems.
The best way to earn rewards during Crimson Days is to compete in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist,
of course it is, it's a PVP event.
and we’ve tuned the experience to focus on rewarding single-character play.
what does this mean? You expect players to pick one character and stick with it rather than swapping between classes as they choose? This needs clarification.
*EDIT*
I think what they mean here is that the knockout list is character-specific, so if you don't have all the rewards on your Titan yet and decide to switch to your Hunter, there is a good chance you'll get items you already have. It's tuned in such a way that they expect you to stay on one character until you have all the items.
That's how I interpret it anyway, after thinking it over more.
Most rewards are found within a new Crimson Engram, with all contents on a “knock-out” list, preventing you from receiving duplicate items until you’ve earned all of the new gear.
Knockout list? Finally. We're tired of duplicates, especially during temporary events. This needs to be a thing from now on.
No matter which activity you play in Destiny 2 during Crimson Days, every player will receive both an Illuminated Engram and a Crimson Engram when they level up.
Smart. Many players dont enjoy PVP but still want a way to get the loot. If they're willing to grind endlessly to level up, let them. What harm is it? Hopefully though this does not come with a stealth nerf to XP gain.
Crimson Engrams are only earnable through gameplay, are not capped or limited during the event. To qualify, you need only to reach the level cap for your Guardian (that’s 25 if you’ve acquired Expansion 1; 20 if you haven’t).
Good. Since Crimson engrams can't be bought, we can't accuse you of putting them behind the paywall and pushing the cash shop on us. You've also learned that capping our reward is a bad idea, and you learned that requiring the expansion only alienates your players that haven't bought it yet, regardless of their reason. You're improving, Bungie. :)
• Complete the milestone “Welcome to Crimson Days” by finishing five Crimson Days matches and visiting Lord Shaxx in the Tower to earn the Fire of the Crimson Days Emblem and the Tirastrella Exotic Ghost Shell.
I suppose this is a fair trade, since some of the rewards below require PVE participation. And it's a guaranteed reward, so win or lose you'll get it after 5 matches. At least you dont required 5 wins. Thanks.
• Complete matches in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist for a chance to earn the Undeterred Exotic Sparrow.
No, bad Bungie. If I complete something during a limited time event, the reward should be guaranteed. Chance-based rewards should something I can go after at my leisure, when I want to, on my own time. In a time-limited event, all rewards should be guaranteed if you do the requisite activity.
• Complete either the Leviathan Raid or the Raid Lair: Eater of Worlds to claim the Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil from the final chest.
Complete the raid, get the ornament. That's fair. And it's not a "high value" reward item, so those who dont get it wont feel like they missed something incredibly special or appealing. Ghosts and Sparrows are more appealing to most than an ornament.
• Complete the Nightfall Strike during the Crimson Days event to earn the Flaunting Dance Emote.
Complete the Nightfall, get the emote: that's fair. Nightfalls aren't terribly hard for even a half-skilled team.
Crimson Engrams will only be earnable through gameplay, but if you’re looking to directly purchase a specific item, Tess will also offer a selection of the Crimson Engram contents in exchange for the Bright Dust you are holding. Gear purchased with Bright Dust will also count towards the “knock-out” list mechanic described above, preventing duplicate items unless you have already earned all the rewards.
Again, we cant accuse you of pushing the cash shop since we can only get engrams via gameplay. And you're giving us the ability to buy the exact item we want in case we've not been able to farm engrams to get it. Smart.
Every reward item obtained from a Crimson Engram can also be dismantled for Bright Dust, including event-specific shaders.
More ways to get dust, especially once we have all the rewards and start getting duplicates? Nice.
Overall I have to say I'm rather pleased with how you're approaching this event, Bungie. If you'd make the sparrow a guaranteed reward I'd not have anything bad to say about it at all. You're really improving, and I think that's what makes that one misstep the more frustrating.

Dude you could’ve just waited until the event started to enjoy some Smokey Nightstalker Days for yourself before posting this novel of all your hopes and dreams. Event sucks, loot sucks, endless smoke spam and invisible shotgunner phaggotry sucks. See you next DLC Bungie, and only because I bought the $100 Edition like a fvckin chump.

由kris_tunetso编辑: 2/13/2018 6:03:43 PMI'm not sure I like the idea of it being "win 25-30 matches" though. that's a lot of wins, and frankly some players aren't that good. "Win 10 or complete 20" would be fair in my eyes. When you put a reward behind a chance, you discourage people from even making an attempt. "Why should I waste time in the Crucible if I can't be sure I'm going to get the thing I want?" Make it guaranteed and they're more likely to try. In the case of an event like this, if you make the reward guaranteed you're more likely to get people to play PVP. It's true for me at least: I hate PVP. I really, honestly, do not enjoy it at all. But I'm considering popping on for a bit and running 5 matches to get the emblem and ghost. Win or lose, what do I care? I still get my reward, and if I have a streak of good luck I might just continue playing. That really is my only gripe with this entire event. It's odd that it's the only reward based on pure chance, when every other reward is guaranteed obtainable.

Dude, that is some good criticism. Thank you for being one of the few people on the forum that isn't shitting on bungie all the time or is being all fanboy, but is truly pointing out all the positives and negatives and giving your opinion on them. Good job! 👍

由kris_tunetso编辑: 2/11/2018 6:36:25 PMI've been saying it in many posts here recently: Bungie's done a lot wrong and needed to be called out for it. However, they also need to hear when they're doing right. Bash on someone for their mistakes long enough and they'll demoralize. They'll stop being productive and then we'll never get the game we want. Bungie are people, and people have an innate need to hear when they're doing the right thing. Players also need to curb our expectations. Development takes time, and some of the changes we're asking for are pretty significant. Other changes, we're not even sure what we want, just that we want something. For example, I want the mod system improved, but I don't know how to tell Bungie to do that other than "go look at Warframe." Any change we ask for has to go through, at least, the following steps at Bungie: * Do we want to do this? * Can we do it? * How will it affect other systems? * How many people will we have to pull off the live team, or off the D3 dev team, to do this? You can imagine that the bigger or more significant the change, the longer it'll take to implement. Players saying "X should have been in the game from the start" arent helping things. Sure, maybe X should have been, but it wasn't. Instead of complaining about how long it's going to take to get X, ask yourself how long it'll take them to develop X and run it through the steps above. Players complaining about how long the changes are taking need to understand they have one of two choices: roll out the changes bit by bit, or roll out nothing at all until everything is ready to go in one drop. If players are honest with themselves I think they'd prefer the former. Lastly, players need to change their attitude. We spent years trying to be polite to Bungie, to be constructive, and were more or less ignored. It took a lot of negative press fueled by the players' righteous frustration to finally get their attention and compliance. I get that it's fashionable to be a Bungie hater these days, but now we have that attention and compliance: it's time to put the hate away and work with them again. Be wary of their words, be critical if you must, but put the anger aside and try to help steer this game in a better direction. Piling on hate after they've started changing course isn't helping anyone. We can still be critical of them, but it needs to be tempered.
-
I personally dont think the negative feedback the community gave Bungie is what made them begin to make changes. It's a numbers game. They saw the numbers dropping quick. I had a clan member who played D1 for 3 years almost every day, leave D2 a week after release. Many more like him took the same route. Sure Bungie already made their money from preorders and what not, but they could clearly see from the numbers dropping that D2 year 1 was a fail and if year 2 was going to succeed, changes had to be made. They were "listening" far too long and finally are starting to "do".
-
Players leaving, and the resulting drop in daily logins, is just another form of negative feedback. People could grumble and complain all they want but as long as they kept logging in Bungie had no reason to change direction. It took that negative press, and the population drop was (and is) a big part of it, to facilitate that change. Negative reaction gets results. It's just unfortunate that the negativity had to get really loud, and really ugly, before Bungie finally acted. Bungie's a business, and as with all businesses if you want their attention you have to attack their wallet. Threaten their revenue and businesses pay attention. By not logging in, and by loudly proclaiming the game's faults to potential buyers, we threatened that revenue and got Bungie's attention.

由Lord Yoink N Bag编辑: 2/10/2018 1:22:31 PMI think the sparrow being the only true chase able loot drop is fair. Give me something to get excited about. Its only a Sparrow geez, everything else is pretty much handed out buddy. Sorry you don’t play PvP. But I’m excited to play doubles.

It should be something like "Complete 20 matches, or Win 5." Basically it should be a definite "Do this, get that" type of reward like the rest of them are. I don't have a problem with "do X for a chance at a reward" if I can do X whenever I want, as much as I want. For example, if I want a piece of raid gear I can go do the raid for a chance at the piece I want. The raid will always be there. This event will not always be there, so the rewards should be set up so that you are guaranteed to get them if you do a specific thing. The rest of them are set up that way. Complete the raid, get an ornament. Do the nightfall, get an emote. The sparrow should be the same.

由kris_tunetso编辑: 2/7/2018 9:19:33 PMConstructive criticism helps, certainly, but this isn't really criticism aside from the sparrow issue. This is straight up praise. They're doing right with this and need to be told they're doing right, especially after all the negativity that's been heaped on them (even if the negativity was deserved). It's important that we praise them when they do right, even if it's something we think should have been done long ago. When they see us reacting positively to their actions, they'll be more inclined to do more of it.
