Please, take a look at the exotics. Even minor changes can make some of them awesome and fun. For example: Riskrunner is too dangerous to use optimally: hitting yourself with a grenade (and you have to be arc subclass for it!) or waiting to be hit is somewhat suicidal. Hard Light is really hard (no pun intended) to use due to awful screen shaking (even with 2 recoil-reducing mods equipped). Graviton Lance, DARCI, Vigilance Wing and a number of pieces of armor are just bland and not worth using over legendaries, IMO. That being said, some things are really awesome and fun: Orpheus Rig is a must-have, Wings of sacred Dawn are fun and unique, Merciless is really useful and powerful, Sunshot is my go-to handcannon. Please take a look at some of the exotics so that they match others in terms of fun-ness.
