I think that the Necrochasm is just a Hive weapon that was changed by Hive magic, and not it being originally being a Guardian weapon turned into a Hive weapon through Hive magic.

It has a magazine though, which would imply human origins, as the hive use pure magic and don't require ammunition. I think the grimoire card claims it's a hive attempt at creating a human weapon, since they found them to be so effective against them, but it's been a while since I've looked (nor do I have it myself), so I might be wrong.
