There's a lot of good advice on this thread. The red dot is a great tip. I main a NLB and either a sidearm or another sniper. I prefer being aggressive with the NLB- not fond of just camping.
Just be aware that if you cancel the bolt animation, it will jam on you and its the worst feeling in the world lol. It has high stability too, so don't be afraid to get peppered by an auto rifle but still get that crispy headshot.
I mostly play in skirmish or clash/control and that is where it shines. It's a great quickscope weapon as well. I'm not sure if I really have specific weapon advice... just personal preference or playstyle tips. Thank you so kind for sharing your advice with me :) I've been at it all this weekend lol. The matches are finally getting better for me. Really thanks to those who love this weapon such as yourself ( I'm totally addicted to the NLB now ). My last match felt really good, I can't say I've gotten used to everything yet/ haven't noticed the red dot so far ( but then again so much is happening in battle I'm not used to it ) I think I experienced the jamming ( I've been trying my best to get the sprint thing down ) . I definitely do much better moving around the map with a sidearm to keep opponents at bay. I would have loved to have teamed up with you in crucible both going NLB too bad I'm Xbox 1. Again I really appreciate the help :) best part of this game are the players with big hearts!

I appreciate it, truly! I've been using it since year one and it is my baby. Haha. Trying to get my new clan members to use it and it's going rather well. I've honestly met more people rockin the NLB in pvp than anything else lol. Love running a full fireteam with it. Yeah, that jam can be annoying. I still get it from time to time when I'm playing a 6v6 game mode. It's a shame we're on different consoles.
