Well, this one sure had a taste for the theatrics. Still, seemed like he could take care of the thing on his own, so I decided to stay where he left me. Hopefully he wouldn't decide to just kill me right after rescuing me, but there wasn't much I could do if he did.

*There was lots of growling, roaring, and yelling. Then eventually a gut wrenching cry can be heard, and it was silent for a moment. He walked back to where you were* Alright, NOW we're good. You can roam a little more freely.

Well, either this guy was insane, or had way better hearing than me. Both were equally likely at this point. Still, nothing bothered us for a good while. The halls were quiet save for our footsteps. Except when they suddenly weren't. Mortar motioned for me to stop, but I had already heard it: more of that blasted chanting.
