Hi,
I have moved this over to #help.
There is a known bug which displays extra glimmer items when visiting Master Ives. You are not losing anything. The extras as just false duplicates. When you turn in your glimmer items the false duplicates will disappear

I just had three house banners to turn, I checked before coming to the reef...they're still showing up on my Destiny Item Manager since it hasn't refreshed yet. He only gave me the glimmer for one and took the others. This glitch has apparently been present for a very long time and there is no "hot fix," as mentioned in your sited link, on the way!

After you turn in one of your glimmer items, the duplicate glimmer item will disappear as well so you are not actually losing anything. You will have received the same amount of glimmer if you went to the tower or Iron Temple. Apps such as DIM may not update immediately to show your correct inventory value.
