They are different. You can't make Halo 2 or 3 over and over again. 343 saw that the series needed to evolve to survive and they took the course of action they saw fit.

True, but it doesn't mean you can't compare them. Personally Halo 3 has been my overall favorite total Halo experience. Halo 4 had a good story but the multiplayer wasn't as balanced (similar to Reach), and Halo 5 has fun, back-to-basics multiplayer but the story suffered. Neither game was as good a total package to me as Halo 3. Maybe Halo 6 will be find that same magic again.

If it wasn't for Reach, I would've remained terrible at Halo 3, or every other Multiplayer. So I owe it a lot. When I got XBL in 2008 - Halo 3 was just wayy too hard to get in, there was no learning steps. It was just - playing against skilled Players. Reach allowed me to get better at Online FPS. While it was a bit easier, not casual. It got a lot more people into Halo. It is still a challenge.
People liked Reach because it was easier to get into than 2 and 3.
That is why so many people liked it. Halo 3 was like a brickwall, if you're new to Online Multiplayer. Many veterans, (bungie fanboys) even dislike Reach - but even they are all hypocrites as they like Destiny.

You are impossible to talk to. I'm not saying their games are the best Halos or even good ones but at least I'm not dwelling on the past like you are. How about instead of telling 343 how shit they are doing, you help them by giving them constructive criticism to craft the Halo games how you want them.

"Most" You have zero numbers for that too. I am part of the 'old community' and I'm still supporting 343 as they are the only ones who are trying to live up to Halos legacy. 343 does listen, and the fact that you will leave one of your favorite series behind simply because of one game, which they recognized as a mistake, is total bullshit.

It isn't though. Maybe if it was just added in to Halo 2 and 3 like Halo 4 did but 5 was recreated around these abilities, sprinting being one of them. If I go there and say "change your whole game, I hate it," they will not do that, they will hear me and see what they can do better but they will not change the fundamentals of Halo to suit a small minority's wants.
