Why do nightfalls? They dont give high lvl gear in the game. They are the worst way to farm exotics (which are mostly worthless in and of themselves) No matchmaking and not worth the effort to build fire teams. Enemies are bullet sponges. Why is this option even there? I haven't bothered since the Taken King came out.
