I have been an avid Destiny fan since its initial release. I have enjoyed Bungie's attempts to create an immersive universe for gamers, and for the most part, I have not been left wanting. Particularly with PvE content, I actually find that the experience has greatly improved since it's initial launch in many ways (i.e, the addition of A story). In short; the raids are great, I actually want more strikes, and the missions are awesome as they are. My grievances are with the Crucible, which, at the moment, I have MAJOR issues with, to the extent where I',m actually considering shelving this game. As with anything that is a "work in progress", there are also many things about this game that, as I see it, are ruining my experience of it. Ever since the first weapon update patch, and every patch since, I find that the lag in games is only getting worse and less consistent. I often feel frustrated when shots that I land on player enemies either don't crit after shooting them directly in the head, or, worse, do no damage at all. Worse still are the times where enemy players moving in one direction suddenly warp 5 feet in the opposite direction, moving a completely different direction, only for me to die by a close range opponent that I'm still shooting at long range with a scout rifle who, within less than a second, has gone from into my crosshairs to a foot away from me, killing me by shotgun. I don't think It's my connection either, as I regularly play at friends homes, on totally solid connections. This issue was nearly nonexistent after the initial launch, and I find myself simply turning the game off after two matches of this. Another post-patching issue I have is the weapon balancing, that, as much as it's been talked to death, still seems to be the brunt of a LOT of player criticism. The auto-rifle patch very early on had me wondering what the hell Bungie was trying to "fix" when, from my perspective, was very unnecessary. Most of the weapon balances since then, with the possible exception of the first pulse-rifle buff as of TTK release, have only served to confuse players and make many play styles completely irrelevant on a dime. Particularly, with the latest weapon update, I find myself very frustrated, after three patches, STILL being killed by weapons like The Last Word in situations where I clearly had an overpowering positional advantage on a player opponent, only to be killed by what amounts to weapon math. Bungie, you have created a potentially amazing game. Despite the heavy criticism in my post, I have enjoyed this game a lot. I REALLY WANT to like this game, but I just can't right now. I like how you are trying to create a constantly changing gaming environment, but I think you need to stop majorly changing how weapons work every month. There are other ways to create a less frustrating and, ultimately, a more FUN game. From the creators of Halo, which, in my opinion, was one of the greatest shooters ever, it just kind of frustrates me that in Destiny, online multiplayer is what's wrecking it for me. So, in short: One, please do something about the lag, it really pisses me off. Two, weapon balance. Pick a balance, and stick to it. People are going to complain anyways, so you might as well stick to something and keep it consistent and, dare I say it, as BALANCED as you can make it. I'ma go play some GTA now
