LOL It's not ''HIS'' company, like Bill Gates and Microsoft, its not 'HIS'' company. You said it yourself, he is a board member, and there are multiple board members, there are a bunch of founders. He mouthed off to everyone, even the temps.

Founding member, board member and shareholder. It's his company. As much as Microsoft is bill gates and Apple was Steve jobs. The company's partially belong to them. They have been sold off to investors, but they control large pieces of the company.

Dude if you are on the board of directors you and own a large portion of the company you are responsible for corporate governance and a partial owner. Making it partially your company. Can you get terminated, sure. But you have enough power as a board member to provide insight and with the rest of the board set the strategic goals for the company. I'm not saying it's his company and he can shut it down if he wants. But he was ultimately responsible for his portion of the company.

I guess it depends on your job. Artists frequently argue to get their way. Half of the A list actors and directors in Hollywood are notoriously difficult to work with. If an artist is having their creative vision ignored and tampered with. They complain. They should complain. If the company dislikes the complaints and still wants to do their own thing, they should fire the artist. No one is at fault here. The two parties disagreed and went their own ways
