I've been grinding Dead Orbit for 6 months on 3 characters. Today, I decided to experiment with the new pledge system; so my Hunter pledged himself to Dead Orbit. I saw that you can buy Faction rep by donating materials now. "That's cool,' I thought. "I have a metric crap-ton of sapphire wire. I'll donate some and get a new faction package. Not that there'll be anything useful in it, of course.... there never is." At the Postmaster, however... THE FERMI SOLUTION!!! That ultra-coveted, super-sweet ship was waiting for me. And to think I almost decided not to pledge to a faction at all, since I was a little low on glimmer. So it occurs to me... I more or less bought this ship with my faction pledge and my sapphire wire, didn't I? (No, I did not... it's all random. But sometimes, because human beings instinctively try to detect patterns in everything, random events seem to have a significance that they don't actually possess.) Just sharing what I thought was an amusing story... because I'm happy to finally get the FERMI SOLUTION!!!!!
