I thought we had just done it for a friend we did Skolas at the weekend and it shows his Moment of triumph is completed but upon investigation he has only won 68 Crucible matches yet it shows completed he has played 155 matches. So is it genuinely completed or does he actually have to win a further 32 matches?

Bungie said you can get multiple wins from one crucible game and that they will let that particular bug slide. He will need to win more games before completing the triumph..

Yes he had only played 155 and only won 68 yet his triumph is completed. It's a big where one win actually stats count for one per person on team so a single win boosts your score by six. So technically due to that bug while only winning 66 matches his triumph is completed
