This shader will do that. Also just to clarify, if you complain about the item they gave you for free being crap, then you are complaint about the free it that they give you. Even if you try to word it to sound otherwise. It's especially bad that you haven't even had a chance to try it out on your characters and already have a passed such an absolute judgement on it. Maybe wait for it to come out and try it on your characters with your favorite armor builds before you do this....
