When people have taken the time, energy and RISK to create something....they have the right to decide what that thing will be.
Its called a "creative vision". In this situation, it means that Bungie gets the ulitmate decision on what the game is...and how it will be played.
What YOU get to decide is whether or not you want to participate in that fashion. If so, play the game....and offer Bungie your feedback.
If not...go play a different game.

Players are free to complain all they like on this forum. Your main point I grudgingly agree with,the community is so diverse they could never please everyone so they have to have control of the games "destiny". I do suspect most of what's asked for is not possible yo implement anyway,within the current cross platform and gen consoles. My opinion anyway.

They should for example provide dedicated servers and make there product the same price to all there customers worldwide at the varied exchange rates. Bungee received a huge advance from activision to facilitate a healthy budget. There creative control has nothing to do with there collusion with activision to charge the amounts and way they do. Bungie almost certainly took on a massive amount of debt in breaking away from Microsoft, and retooling the company from the ground up (including tripling it size) in order to just make the development of Destiny possible. So it is very **easy** to say what Bungie **should** do when you don't look at all the development costs necessary to bring the game to market...and maintain it. 2. The world is not a free-trade zone. Each country has its own set of laws regarding the importation of good, taxes, tarrifs, legal requirements. So (once again) without a firm knowledge of what Activision is facing with regards to these, it is very easy to say what they "should" be doing. 3. Videogames are a commercial product.....in reality a LUXURY item. Not a public service or public utility that you have some sort of intrinsic right to own. They have a right to charge what the market will bear...and to earn a profit from their fruits of their creativity and labor.

"Past performance doesn't guarentee future results" Just because Bungie made a major profit DOENS'T mean that they didn't take a great deal of debt during the years between when they broke away from Microsoft...and when Destiny hit the shelves. It just means that the calculated risk, paid off. When Bungie broke away from Microsoft it was a company of 150 people, who had aging tools to make video games on ONE (essentially) obsolete platform. When Destiny dropped last year, Bungie was a company of 450 people, with all new development tools and game engine (each of which was developed in house) which allowed them to produce videogames on FOUR gaming platforms. ...and all of this took place at a time when Bungie had NO real revenue coming in, because it has surrendered the rights to Halo to Microsoft as part the deal that allowed them to go their seperate ways. ...and WHERE do you think all that money came from? It didn't all come from Activision....and creating the sort of new developement tools that Bungie did is every bit as expensive is creating a new AAA game. So there is NO filibustering going on here. I'm delivering a business reality-check.

This is exactly how dictators think. The game was built for us. Their philosophy is a lame excuse for not wanting to put serious time and effort into the game. Take into consideration everything that has been happening to this game since development. Don't you see the greed and lies they spit at us?

No. You're thinking like a child...and that you----and what you want----is the Center of the Universe. The game was built to make MONEY...and to allow those people who work at Bungie to earn a living doing something they enjoy doing. Now Pleasing fans is a PART of that process...but is is only a part. We live in a free market economy, and people who MAKE things have a right to whatever degree of monetary compensation that the "market will bear" for their goods and services. Which means that sometiems individual consumers get "priced out" of a market for a product they want. The "market" decides that the product is worth more than they as an individual is either willing or able to pay. That is unfortunate. But that is NOT unfair or unethical.

I love people with poor boundaries..... There is a difference between trying to whine...and passive-aggressively control someone else....and setting boundaries for what is a space you share with other people. The only thing Bungie owes any of us is a WORKING product. Anything else, the only "control" you have over Bungie is where and how you choose to spend your money. If you agree with what Bungie is doing....give them your money. If you don't....keep it in your pocket or give it to one of their competitors. That's how free markets work. Your $60 doesn't entitle you to endlessly whine and complain and continually demand more and more and more. At some point, it cease to be profitable for Bungie to endulge this nonsense...and they'll stop. At which point, the whiners need to either shit or get off the pot. Either shut up and stay....or take their money and go elsewhere. But this forum is a common space...and the rest of us have a right to not have to hear people whine endlesslsy about the same handful of unreasonable demands.

I'm tired of listening to the same handful of bratty kids go one about how we're being ripped off by Bungie and Activision. If you feel that way...fine. Stop playing VICTIM...and go spend your f-ing money somewhere else. Somewhere you think YOU ARE getting a good value. But dont' run around here and insist that Bungie do things that no reasonable person would ever expect them to do.

The only power you have over Bungie----or any other business---is the power to impact their profits. They will only act if they believe acting is in their own financial self-interest....and they will only move when they feel that doing so is in their own interest. The BiG PICTURE, is you only have the power over others that they choose to give you....but the reverse is also true. People, places and things only have the power over YOU that you choose to give them.
