Yeah except they were.
- Shotguns made ANY enemy dead with ease
- Black Hammer and Ice Breaker made Juggler/Nightfall strikes into jokes
- G-Horn needed to be brought down since day 1. No weapon should be able to kill that quickly.
You may not be happy that the crutches that lazy PvE players used have been nerfed, but for the rest of us we are more than happy to see the G-Horn/Ice Breaker or GTFO mentality go out the window.
Now people might actually pull their heads out of their ass and look at the other exotics and we can get some variety in this game rather than everyone using the same exact loadout.

Like what? The problem is not us the players is the developer team. They are not creative enough to make weapons that will want us to stop using Gjallarhorn. Since they can't come up with any good ideas well heck lets nerf everything. Btw do you think that auto rifle buff will do anything? Trust me it won't. Auto rifles have been nerfed 3 times. It will take a lot to bring them back to usability

Except that they didn't stop there. By nerfing the entire year 1 stat perk set across the board (and retroactively) every Vanilla or TDB weapon you have has been nerfed. Perfect Balance, Field Scout, Send It, Hammer Forged, and so on all nerfed - including on Raid weapons and Exotics. "BUNGIE NERF THE BADGER CCL IT'S BROKEN" said nobody ever.

Okay I'm confused. Are you upset with the nerfs or not? They did this for the sole purpose of balancing the game and making sure the items like G-Horn/Icebreaker that broke the game could no longer do so as easily. Thus making the game as a whole more difficult since so many relied on them so heavily.

I'm not upset with the nerfs by class or for specific weapons. I'm upset that there was an across the board nerf targeting all Vanilla and TDB weapons. All the legendaries that we saved and brought forward by ascending are being rendered less effective simply so that people will move on to something new and shiny. What good is a 10 year plan if your Guardian has to start over every year? If that really cool gun that has a really cool story behind it gets dismantled because they like to go back and rewrite history - nerfing it and rendering it obsolete?

No. Everyone used G-Horn/Ice Breaker because they were OP and needed to be balanced but never were. Not that they have been other guns that have vastly superior Utility like Red Death, Bad Juju, Monte Carlo, Dragonsbreath etc etc will now become more popular. The only thing G-Horn had going for it was its vastly superior damage. With that gone people will move on to other more useful items.

The bosses you could take with 1 or 2 or 3 gally before plus otger rockets Now you need more gally to compensate the reduction Even with the nerf gally will be more powerful than others Example 2 gally player could carry people in crota raid now you need more gallys to do so ... got it They just made it worse

They will compensate the lack of damage with the utility from other exotics such as Red Death, Bad Juju, Dragonsbreath, Monte Carlo just to name a few and apply this alongside new tactics and approaches. If you seriously think that the majority of the community is gonna say "Hmmmm well they nerfed Gally...you know what that means....WE NEED MORE GALLY!!!!" then you my friend need to take a step back.
