Plus (someone may have said this already) it is pretty much a game changer when you have made a new character for the level 16-20 bit, its got to be the best primary level 16-20s can carry for PVE (as well as pvp).
I had played as 3 titans and recently deleted 2 for my warlock and then hunter. Every time, as soon as they hit 16, give them strangers rifle. Compared to whatever white or green scout or handcannon they had been weilding, strangers rifle is a massive step up

Are you serious? I finished the black garden on day 2 with a lol 12 hunter. I was super pissed that I had to lvl grind for the first time in the game just to use it and then grind the weapon to unlock full auto and max dmg. ...then I heard about the treasure cave and was under-impressed with it compared to the legendarys I was getting from engrams... and then more grinding for lvl 20. I used stranger's till then, and dismantled. I have one in vault from a titan run.

Do all the levels on the harder difficulty. It gives a lot more experience. Complete all the bounties and turn them in immediately. Once you hit five play a couple games of crucible to level up a couple levels then play the rest of the maps on the hardest level. You should hit 20 on Venus no problem.
