What you're seeing isn't anything new. The criticisms people have for Bungie's games aren't anything that's emerged in the past few years. What makes it feel different today is that it doesn't feel so grey anymore. With two companies that have made Halo, it's easier to take sides or perceive the taking of sides.
For example, I think much of Bungie's game design and storytelling for their Halo games has deep flaws in it. If someone is going to talk about how good Bungie was with Halo, I'll explain my view to show that Bungie isn't a pristine statue. That doesn't change the fact that I think Halo CE, Halo 2, and ODST are some of the better games in the franchise with excellent stories.

No company is perfect, but I still see little but unbridled "lol Bungie sux" mentalities in many of these threads, which disappoints me to no end. However, I do appreciate the work you have personally done to keep the better parts of Bungie's stories alive.

Everything about Halo 3 and Reach was scrutinized to oblivion. As a game designer, I can now understand why some of those features weren't liked. For comparison, you stated that it took a long time for 343i to balance Halo 4's sandbox. In that same amount of time, Bungie only fixed Halo 3's melee system.

That's basically what you're saying, whether you mean to or not. There was no "work-around" for Halo 3's broken melee system. I'm off-topic on my own thread now, so this'll be my last reply. No hard feelings though. You like Halo, and that's all that matters.
