Actually the Ahamkara were hunted to extinction by the Vanguard. Its quite possible that one hid in the moon to try to survive only to be met with death. Also the Ahamkaras home was never revealed in the grim cards. People mistake the smaller dragonlike creatures flying over venus to be ahamkara but they also appear over the tower, so this is most likely not the case.
